Warm Brownie Pudding

Lush and delicious, your family will think you spent ages making this.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 3/4 cups boiling water
  • Vanilla ice cream

Preparation Method: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish
  3. Combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and 1/3 cup cocoa in a medium-sized bowl
  4. Combine milk, butter, and vanilla in a measuring cup, then pour and stir into dry ingredients until just blended.
  5. Spoon the batter into a prepared dish.
  6. Combine brown sugar and remaining 1/4 cup cocoa in a small bowl and sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  7. Pour boiling water over the entire mixture; DO NOT STIR.
  8. Bake for 35 to 38 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool, 10 minutes.
  10. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
