Shrimp Diablo


  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 small green chili finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 small tin chopped tomato seasoned with garlic, oregano & basil
  • 20 uncooked large shrimp
  • Lemon juice
  • White wine
  • Salt/pepper to taste
  • Crushed red pepper

Preparation Method:

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in large frying pan.
  2. Add onion, chili, garlic, and sauté until soft.
  3. Add shrimp and cook until shrimp is pink.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice and a large splash of white wine.
  5. Cook over high heat until the alcohol has evaporated.
  6. Add a tin of chopped tomatoes and reduce heat to low.
  7. Add salt, and crushed red peppers to your own level of heat and taste.
  8. Cover pan with lid and cook slowly for 15 minutes.
  9. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook spaghetti as per instructions on the box.
  10. Add cooked pasta to shrimp and toss together. Serve immediately.
