Ingredients:
- 1 ½ heads iceberg lettuce torn into bite-size pieces
- ½ cup chopped celery
- ½ cup chopped green pepper
- ½ cup chopped scallions (or regular onions)
- 6 ounces baby peas, cooked slightly and cooled
- 1 ½ cups mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 pieces of cooked crispy bacon
- 1 chopped tomato
Preparation Method:
- First layer the lettuce, then the celery, pepper, onion, and peas.
- Combine mayonnaise with sugar.
- Place this mixture on top of the layers.
- Cover mayonnaise with cheese, chopped bacon, and sliced tomatoes.
- Let this salad sit in the fridge for at least 5 hours or overnight.
- Toss well before serving.
